Mission

AI is changing how go-to-market teams operate, and Spendesk intends to be ahead of that curve rather than catching up to it. This role exists to build that. As Head of GTM Engineering, your core objective is to design and ship the AI layer that powers how Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and Care execute — agents, enrichment pipelines, conversation intelligence, automated decisioning. You also own the systems foundation that makes it possible, with Salesforce at the core plus the lead, integration and tooling layers around it. You report directly to the SVP Operations and work as a peer to the Head of GTM Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Build the AI layer — this is the core of the role

Design and ship the AI applications that power GTM execution: agents, enrichment pipelines, conversation intelligence, automated reporting and decisioning. You build in production, not in slides. You are expected to have a point of view on where AI creates real leverage and where it is theatre, and to prove it with shipped work.

Scale AI across the GTM organisation

Make the GTM Ops Partner team autonomous on the majority of AI use cases: patterns, guardrails, reusable components, and the enablement that goes with them. Take on personally the use cases that need real engineering. Success is measured by how much AI the organisation ships without you, not by how much you ship yourself.

Own the GTM systems architecture

Own Salesforce and the surrounding stack end to end: data model, integrations, and the tooling layer that Marketing, Sales, Customer Success and Care depend on daily. Make deliberate build-vs-buy calls and keep the stack simple enough to change quickly.

Run engineering discipline on revenue-impacting systems

Bring release management, deployment pipelines, testing and change control to systems that directly carry revenue. Spendesk is a fintech: these systems are held to audit and controls stand
